FAQs

CAN YOU SHIP IT TO ME IN CANADA?

I’m sorry, but at the present time I only accept orders from and only ship to the United States.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

I do not mass-produce these images and I do not have stacks of them on shelves just waiting to take one from the shelf and send to you.  They are all professionally printed and custom produced after you have actually placed your order.  I do not begin processing your order until your payment has cleared my bank. It generally requires 10 days to 2 weeks for your order to be ready to ship. Occasionally, I might be able to have your order ready a couple of days early and occasionally it may require a day or two longer. If you need your order by a specific date such as for a birthday gift or especially if you are ordering for a gift during the Christmas shopping season, please try to order as early as possible.

HOW LONG WILL THE PRINTS LAST…WILL THEY FADE?

With proper care they will possibly last a lifetime. Let me just say this:  I have done professional photography for many years and more specifically, I have been doing wildlife photography since the very early 1980s and I have several images like these that been hanging on walls throughout my home and office and today they still look as bright and fresh as they did 40 or 45 years ago. The worst thing you can do is to display them in a position where they are exposed to hours upon hours of intense direct sunlight. Do not hang them on a wall directly in front of your large picture window on the east or west side of your home...If you do, they will most likely eventually begin to fade.

WHAT ABOUT SALES TAX?

I do not collect Sales Tax on orders made from and delivered outside of Texas.

WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING?

The cost of shipping will be added to the price of the item. Once your order is completed and shipped, delivery is usually completed within 1 to 7 working days with UPS Ground depending upon your location in relation to Seguin, Texas.

HOW DO I PLACE MY ORDER AND PAY FOR IT?

Once you find one or more images in my galleries that you would like to purchase, please send me an email with the subject line reading “PHOTO ORDER” to g.keown4547@gmail.com and give me the name of the image (s) that you want to purchase with the image number (s), size, and price (s) along with your name, address and telephone number.  Once I receive this information from you. I will calculate your total balance due including sales tax (if any) and shipping/handling. I will then reply to your email and send you a “Invoice” or “Request for Payment”. You may pay this “Invoice” or “Request for Payment” by mailing a personal check, business check or a Cashier’s Check issued by your bank. I do not accept credit card payments directly but if you want to use your Visa or MasterCard you may do so by using PayPal to forward payment to Gerald Keown Photography. If you opt to pay by personal or business check, please keep in mind that I will not be able to move your order into the production line until your personal check or business check has been cleared at my bank, a process that sometime may take 2 or 3 days.

DAMAGED, LOST OR STOLEN SHIPMENTS.

These things do not happen frequently, but sometimes they do happen. When I ship your order to you, I will email you the tracking number. This number allows you to log in with the carrier and keep up where your shipment is and what the expected delivery date is.  If your package appears to be damaged on delivery, check it immediately and if your item is damaged return the packaged item to the carrier and file a claim with them. In the event your package is not delivered within a reasonable time after the scheduled delivery date, notify the carrier. If they cannot locate it, file a claim with them. And then there is the matter of driver leaving your package on your front door steps and someone stealing it before you even knew it was there. Once the carrier’s delivery driver has left a package at your property and shows it as being delivered to your address, the carrier has done their job and delivered to your property, the carrier is no longer responsible for it. In these cases you will likely end up needing to report it as a theft to your local law enforcement agency and file a theft claim with your homeowner’s Insurance.
